The hotel’s high ceilings, bright spaces and beautifully styled interiors take their inspiration from traditional materials and artisanry of the Algarve region. Designed by Vera Lachia, the spaces use natural woods and whitewashed walls to create a welcoming and authentic yet contemporary aesthetic. The hotel and its grounds were themselves born from a creative collaboration between architect Jorge Guimarães and landscape architect Teresa Barão. Discover newfound tranquility as you gaze out over Vila Monte’s beautifully landscaped nine-hectare grounds, which feature many aromatic plants, olive and fig trees, reservoirs, and a vegetable garden. With an excellent rustic restaurant, à Terra, on site, and two fully equipped bars, you can truly relax. Vila Monte boasts a fully equipped gym, a wellness center, two outdoor swimming pools and a tennis court. If you do manage to drag yourself from Vila Monte’s charm, enjoy the magical Portugese countryside, cobblestone squares and pretty street-side cafes, where time slips away unnoticed.
